The purpose of this assignment was to show my ability to gradually create different values and assess how removing color and only focusing on value can change the conversation of a piece. For this, I choose Suprematist Composition by Kazimir Malevich because I feel his works are mainly focusing on making different forms using color and nothing else, so to take it away made commentary on how you can still accomplish a lot without color. I left the scale on the left so that you can see the comparison.
